Anyway...
This little guy is still growing, changing and keeping us busy, busy, busy. That hasn't changed for sure! Earlier this month, he turned 19 months! Yep, that's what I said...19 months!!!! Holy cow! It floors me that he'll be 2 soon!
In my last Grey post, I mentioned him being a "cautious child". I would still say that he is cautious in most situations, but this kiddo seems to hurt himself...a lot! He's always falling! It seems normal when I mention it to moms of other toddlers. So I don't think it's "too much", but it sure is a lot. He's truly only been walking on his own for about 3 months, and sometimes I just don't think his little legs carry him as fast as he wants to go. He also doesn't look where he's going half the time, so he's constantly tripping over things or in this case - Daddy's foot. (See forehead)
I think his biggest milestones in the last 3 months would be the addition of more words and words with more syllables. He now says "applesauce", which is currently his only 3 syllable word.
He's definitely become more possessive - mostly of Momma & Dada - in the last month. He now says "mine", "my Momma" and "my Dada". Sometimes when I pick him up from school (AKA daycare), he wants to show off a bit and runs around the room instead of coming directly to me. It's pretty common for several of the other little girls to run over to me and give me a hug. When Grey sees this, he immediately will run over and say "up" (for me to pick him up) or "mine". He's definitely not a fan of the other kids playing with "his" Momma. This is currently pretty cute, but probably won't be if this is still a thing when he's a bit older.
This boy LOVES music! He's constantly doing the actions to some song he's learned at daycare and babbling the words. He also loves listening to the Toddler Tunes music station on the TV. His favorite songs are The Elephant Song, Wheels on the Bus, BINGO & Skinny Marinky Dinky Dink.
Grey still loves to eat...when he feels like it. Apparently most toddler eating is hit or miss - at least that's what the pediatrician's office tells me. He loves things one day and refuses them the next. It makes mealtime very interesting to say the least. It's a struggle between ensuring he has enough nourishment to introducing him to new foods to trying not to waste too much food. It can be a bit interesting at times, but overall I think he's doing pretty well. His favorite food right now is definitely "applesauce" - hence, his new 3 syllable word. Haha.
He still loves daycare and his friends there. He is typically very happy to go there each day, and it pretty excited to pull into the parking lot. I'll leave you with some fun pics from his daycare life and a few others.
